BANNERS

Printing onto PVC vinyl banner material is essentially the same as printing on paper and similar substrates, however various specifications are required for optimal results.

Vector files are perfect for large scale prints. Vector graphics are defined through mathematical expressions and are resolution-independent and scalable. Examples of vector formats are AI & EPS. Vector graphics are illustrations, line art, logos and CAD drawings. Vector graphics can be edited using drawing programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw and other illustration programs.

Image file formats, also called raster graphics or bitmap files, contain a representation of a graphic stored as pixels at a fixed resolution. We print at 150 dpi. In most cases, 'print ready' files can be set up as 1:1 @150dpi and saved as a PDF. Some of the most common image formats include GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF and BMP.

RETRACTABLES

Immaculate imagery can be achieved with large format printing.

We digitally print at 150dpi using the CMYK printing process. With CMYK printing, half toning (also called screening) allows for less than full saturation of the primary colours; tiny dots of each primary colour are printed in a pattern small enough that we perceive a single colour.

Please set files up in CMYK colour mode.

Comparisons between RGB displays and CMYK prints can be difficult, since the color reproduction technologies and properties are so different. A laser or ink-jet printer prints in dots per inch (dpi) which is very different from a computer screen, which displays graphics in pixels per inch (ppi).
